What’s most interesting about A Silent Love is its comical approach to its subject. There is much in common with the tongue-in-cheek of Mexican dramas.
Although Hark makes good use of his limited budget, Dectective Dee’s script feels convoluted, while the actors perform as if they’re in a campy picture.
Love Exposure is a beautiful film, a cherished secret I find myself unwilling to share but incapable of keeping. It's one of the best films I've ever seen.
